Soda Stream Review

Did you know that you can make your own sodas at home? With the SodaStream system you can. This system enables you to carbonate water and flavor carbonated beverages right at your home. There are over 25 great flavors, including diet, regular, and caffeine-free.

I was able to try out the SodaStream over the weekend. It was super easy to set up and I made my very own soda within a matter of minutes.

The kit I received came with a variety of flavors: Cola Free, Ginger Ale, Diet Lemon Lime, Diet Pink Grapefruit, Green Tea, Cranberry-Raspberry, and an Energy Drink mix. These were the smaller bottles, which make 50 servings, or 12 liters. The larger bottles are the Sparkling Natural Flavors. I received Cola, Root Beer, and Black Currant and Pear. They each make 25 servings, or 6 liters.

In the box with the machine, I got a sample pack of 6 flavors to try. These sample packs each make 1 liter.

I also received a 3 pack of all natural, unsweetened MyWater flavor essence. With these, you add just a drop to sparkling water for a splash of fruity flavor.

The first soda I made was the orange. To make the soda, you screw the carbonator in the back of the machine. Then fill water in the plastic bottle to the "Fill" line and screw it on in the front. Next, press the button on the top in short presses until you hear 3 loud buzzes. You can add more fizz if you'd like. Now its time to add the flavor. You just fill the cap of the desired flavor and add it slowly to the water, close the bottle, and shake gently to mix. Then you have homemade soda!

You can purchase the SodaStream system and their soda mixes online or in stores. The SodaStream systems start at $79.95. To find a store near you, you can visit this website.

*I received a SodaStream Kit for my review. All opinions are my own*
